Follow these steps to explore the unique communities of the Lake District, Collect Stamps and Memories on the way!
1. FIRST YOU NEED YOUR LD£ AND PASSPORT
You can get Lake District Pounds and Passports at Post Offices or Tourist Information Centres and other Exchange Points. Or buy them online here and have them delivered to your home or to your campsite, holiday cottage, hotel or B&B in the Lake District when you arrive.
Exchange LD£25 (or more!) to receive a 'FREE' LD£ Passport.

2. WHERE TO COLLECT STAMPS
There are over 350 local shops, cafes, restaurants and visitor attractions that welcome the LD£. More than half of these will stamp your Passport with a unique LD£ Stamp when you spend LD£s. Our Lake District Pound Map will show you who and where they all are!
You can also look out for special LD£ Window Stickers in places where you can get a unique Passport Stamp. If you look very closely at the Window Sticker you will see a hidden stamp icon to find out the stamp in the shop.

There are 35 different stamps. Why not try collecting all the Animals? Or the Birds? Each region of the Lake District is represented by a different colour, so you could even try to collect an 'Otter' in every colour. The name of the business is shown on each stamp so they make a wonderful way of recording your adventures around the Lake District! It's your unique and totally personal souvenir of your travels.
4. Plan your own special Adventure.
We've made stamp collecting fun! Did you know you can use our Special Map not only to find out the location of stamps but also to store them and make your own personal stamp collecting plan. Add them to your own 'My Trail' list next to the Map and it will save them in your own personal route. Cool huh? All you have to do next is...explore!
